Projected Capacitive technology

The capacitive technology is widely used on touch devices of small size, such as smartphones, tablet PCs and convertible. This type of technology allows you to create devices in which touch surface is completely flat, in respect of Microsoft's guideline for creating touch screen for Windows 8. Capacitive technology is the latest multitouch technology available on the market. A surface capacitive guarantees excellent fluidity and accuracy of the touch response. One of the big advantages of this technology is that it works perfectly in any light conditions, which makes it excellent for outdoor installation.

Infrared technology (IR)

Infrared technology is the technology used to implement the previous totem and touch display. With this technology it is not possible to create flat surfaces because the infrared sensors are inside the frame of the display. Infrared technology has time to react to touch higher than the capacitive technology.
